Tuesday, June 8, the USDD Board of Education approved the following regarding COVID-19 mitigation strategies:
Effective June 9, 2021 and into the 2021-2022 school year, the following School District Covid-19 mitigation strategies will go into effect:
- Masks are optional in all school buildings and property.
- Consistent with the guidelines of the CDC, students and adults will not have to quarantine if asymptomatic, and meet one of the following conditions:
Anyone who is fully vaccinated will be exempt from quarantine following a known exposure if asymptomatic. People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer or Moderna), or 2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson (J&J).
Any unvaccinated person who obtains a positive/reactive antibody test will be exempt from quarantine for up to 90 days from the positive/reactive test date if asymptomatic.
Prior Covid Positive Test
Anyone who has a confirmed positive Covid test will be exempt from quarantine for a period of 90 days after the positive test date.
- Consistent with the guidelines of the CDC, students and adults who need to quarantine will quarantine for 10 days without a Covid test or 7 days after receiving a negative COVID test (PCR) which must occur after day 5.
- The District will continue with social distancing strategies.
